About Us

On May 2, 2024, after the Spring Choir performance at their elementary school in San Marcos, CA, the idea of Audrey and Marianne forming a band came about. Both girls clearly enjoyed music and Audrey shone delivering her solo. Within days, Lucas joined the duo as the guitarist, with Audrey on vocals and Marianne on drums.

In July 2024, Audrey, Marianne and Lucas, along with two other musicians, officially formed the band SM ROX.

Fast forward to 2025, with Arrow joining in May to play bass, and Meg joining in July to play keyboards, this new band of five quickly gelled. The young musicians became fast friends, having fun exploring various music genres, rehearsing together and entertaining audiences. To build their evolving set list, each musician would propose songs that they wanted to cover, and the band would vote on each song.

In December 2025, the band decided to change their name to this is fine, reflecting the easy-going and fun-loving nature of the group.

January 2026 - present: this is fine continues to play shows throughout San Diego County and expand their set list. Original songs are also being worked on.

Fun fact: in the fall of 2026, all five members of the band will be attending the same middle school.
